Castaic Lake Water Agency Open House
Celebrate Califonia’s Water Awareness Month on Saturday at Castaic Lake Water Agency.  Events will be held in both Central Park and the 10 acre Conservatory Garden.  Enjoy free water saving items, games, prizes, balloons, popcorn and lemonade.  The Saugus Forestry Unit will have free tree seedlings.  Activities include the Wyland Foundation’s Interactive Mobile Learning Center, Placerita Nature Center Animal Show, and Create Your Own Pizza Garden.  Free shuttle service from Central Park to tour the Conservatory Garden at the top of the hill.  Call 513-1230.

Mother’s Day
If you need some last minute ideas for celebrating Mother’s Day, KHTS Restaurant Row may hold your answers.  Many certificates are available for dining, outings, and gifts.  KHTS is open from 8:30a.m.-5:30p.m Monday through Friday.  Our kiosk at the Valencia Mall is open Saturdays from 1-4p.m. Mothers hold their children’s hands for a short while, but their hearts forever.  Happy Mother’s Day.

Stamp Out Hunger
SCV Mail Carriers will be helping us Stamp Out Hunger on Saturday.  Leave non-perishable canned, bagged or box food items by your mailbox.  All donations will benefit the SCV Food Pantry during this upcoming crucial time, summer, when donations are low and children are home from school.  Call 255-9078.

Santa Clarita Dodger Day
Dodger Day, when baseball and community spirit go hand-in-hand, this Saturday at Dodger Stadium.  Hear the winner of the SCV National Anthem contest, local teen, Andrea Lewis, sing the National Anthem.  Dodgers versus the Colorado Rockies at 7:10p.m.

Pop A Cork For A Cure
The fourth annual wine tasting event benefits American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life.  Wines – reds, whites and desserts – along with live entertainment, refreshments, and auctions this Saturday at Valencia Summit.  Call 255-1392 or 818-554-9557

Arthritis Walk

Where:  Six Flags Magic Mountain
About:  The Arthritis Walk is the signature fundraiser of the Arthritis Foundation.  Participants from across the country join together to raise funds in the fight against arthritis.  Join as an individual, form a new team or join an existing team.
