Festival Of Trees
Festival of Trees, Santa Clarita’s favorite holiday tradition, is back for a four day stay.  Jump start you holiday spirit with this magical event elaborately decorated trees, table tops, centerpieces and wreaths will be on display and available for purchase.  Many of the trees include furniture, event tickets, wine, jewelry and more.  A crowd favorite is the Gingerbread display.  The Children’s Corner will engage children with crafts and other activities.  Jolly Old St Nick will be available for photos and whispers of the hopeful, young and old alike.  Early gift shopping can be found at the boutique.  Festival of Trees will be held at 2119 Centre Pointe Parkway.  Thursday is the VIP Preview from 5-9pm.  Friday hours are 10am-9pm, Saturday from 10am-3pm and Sunday noon-5pm.  The Magic of the Lights Gala will be held Saturday evening from 6:30-10pm featuring a cocktails and appetizers reception, entertainment and live auction.  Festival of Trees benefits the Boys and Girls Club of Santa Clarita Valley.  Click here for an in depth story on Festival of Trees.

Valencia Express Hockey Fundraiser
Time to clean out your garage and closets and de-clutter you life, all for a worthy cause.  Valencia Express Hockey Team and Ice Station Valencia have partnered for Goodwill Drive fundraiser.  Drop off your donations at Ice Station Valencia on Saturday from 8am-4pm.  Click here for more information on Ice Station Valencia.

Trotting for Awareness
Project Kindle is holding a Trotting for Awareness event which includes a Fun 4K Run, entertainment, carnival rides and booths from local businesses and non-profits.  The run starts at 9am Saturday.   The event will be held at Mann Biomedical Park at Rye Canyon Road.  Trotting for Awareness benefits Project Kindle.  This nonprofit which provides cost free services to those infected with and affected by HIV/AIDS.  Their mission is to improve the quality of life for children, young adults and families through recreational experiences, educational programs and support services.  Click here for an in depth story on Trotting for Awareness and Project Kindle.

Holiday Boutique – Holiday Gift Bonanza
Unique gifts and treasures can be found at two local community boutiques.  At the Greenbrier Holiday Boutique, you’ll find over 30 tables with a variety of handcrafted jewelry, clothing, knit items, baked goods and more.  Greenbrier Mobile Estates Recreation Center is located at 21301 Soledad Canyon Road in Canyon Country.  Saturday’s boutique will be open from 9am-4pm.

The Agua Dulce Women’s Club is holding their Holiday Gift Bonanza.  In the offering are 30 vendors with a wide array of holiday gift options.  You’ll find silver and semi-precious stone jewelry, handmade wood toys, fleece scarves, Kenyan jewelry and original artwork.  Hourly raffles will add to your shopping adventure.  The Club’s famous Taco Salad will be served along with beer, wine, sodas or Margaritas.  Bake Sale items can add a sweet treat.  The Bonanza will be held Saturday from 9am-3pm at the Agua Dulce Women’s Club at  Agua Dulce Canyon Road in Agua Dulce.

Rescues On The Runway
Rescues On The Runway continues to help rescued dogs and cats with their inventive second annual dinner and fashion show.  This Sunday at the Hyatt Valencia, you can be a part of Rescues On The Runway’s mission to help rescued dogs and cats.  The afternoon starts with a holiday boutique at 2pm.  Dinner and the fashion show begin at 5pm.  The fashion show will feature models walking the runway in the latest fashions.  They will be accompanied by a few of this year’s 180 rescued animals.   Guests are encouraged to bring donations of pet supplies.  Click here for a story of Rescues on the Runway and ticket information. 

Kids Day – Feline Conservation Center
It’s all about fun and learning at the Feline Conservation Center’s Kids Day.  Kids will learn ways they can make their own contribution to preservation and conservation efforts.  Festivities will include educational live animal presentations, various activity areas, an informational scavenger hunt and ‘enrichment making’ where guests make toys for cats.  The toys will be given to wild feline residents during the day.   Held Saturday from 10am-4pm, admission is $7 for adults and $5 for children under 12.  The Feline Conservation Center is a short drive away in Rosamond.  Click here for directions.
