A free outdoor music event is offered in CalArts’ Wild Beast Concert Series.  Last May CalArts dedicated its new indoor/outdoor music venue, The Wild Beast and The S. Mark Taper Foundation Courtyard.  Sunday’s 4pm offering will bring us the spirit of ancient Greek theater during Iannis Xenakis’s rarely staged opera, Orestia.  CalArts students, faculty and alumni will perform.  A 13-piece ensemble of wind instruments, brass and amplified solo cello will be joined by CalArts faculty baritone soloist Paul Berkolds and conductor by Mark Menzies.
