Art Slam is part of the monthly Thursdays at Newhall events and is designed to attract diverse audiences and art enthusiasts to the City’s growing arts and entertainment district, which is a growing local hot spot.  

The art slam event will be this Thursday, May 2, from 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m Located on Corner of Lyons Avenue and 9th Street on Main Street in Old Town Newhall.

Artists experience a variety of phases within their work; at times, a certain color will capture their attention until that chosen color has run its course. Artists such as; David Cabrerra, Janet Antepara, Charles Sherman, John Frick, Moire Lendering, Joseph Krausz. Zach Hill, Nancy Eckels, and participating Old Town Newhall businesses.

Art Slam returns to Main Street with a free “Red” themed celebration. The event will feature live music, art installations and exhibits with the color red as the main focus of each piece including red dyes, red juices, red wine and red produce.

Guests can also experience a pop-up sculpture garden, shades of red splatter paint activity, and more than 60 pieces of red artwork displayed on an extra-large art wall designed by local and regional artists of all ages, styles and interests.

Red interactive installations will be on the corner of Lyons and Main Street with several galleries set up in Old Town Newhall businesses.
