5 minor injuries sustained
[view:node_ad=5]At around 8:30 Thursday morning, an explosion was reported at Chocolates A La Carte, a candy maker off of Commerce Center Drive, near the I-5 and Highway 126.
According to Stephanie English from the LA County Fire Department, there were no active flames, and the incident was believed to be caused by the over-pressurization of a piece of equipment.
The Fire Department’s Hazardous Materials squad responded to the incident, as they do with all reported explosions, however no hazardous materials were involved.
Emergency crews treated and transported five individuals, all with minor injuries. No other businesses in the area were impacted by the incident.
