Bottle bombs not pranks, should be considered dangerous.
Deputies responded to two reports of explosions in the 25000 block of Floral Court and the 26000 block of Sabado Court Thursday night. At the scene, they discovered several plastic bottle bombs had been deployed in the area. The Los Angeles County Sheriff Department's Arson Explosives Detail responded and is handling the investigation. Two male white juveniles – possibly 17 years of age, one with black hair, a white T-shirt and blue pants, were seen running away from the area.
Although some believe these plastic bottle bombs are a harmless prank, under California Law these crimes are classified as "deploying a destructive device." The explosions are dangerous and can cause injury and property damage. It is a felony to possess or deploy such a device and persons caught and convicted can face up to four years in state prison.
