“Facey has had a long term relationship with Henry Mayo Hospital,” Dr. Marter said. “As with any relationship, the key to making it a success is shared goals and a strong vision of the healthcare needs of our community. Our desire to provide quality patient centered care is a goal we have in common with Henry Mayo.”

“We believe the new NICU furthers that goal and so we are committed to supporting the NICU both financially and by collaborating with the hospital to create the support staff and processes within it,” Dr. Marter added. “The hospital has been working hard to make this an outstanding success. This is truly an opportunity to improve the care for the most vulnerable of our patients and we are proud to be able to participate, and we strongly encourage others in our community to participate as well.”

Facey physicians delivered 777 babies at Henry Mayo during fiscal year 2010, and have delivered 622 babies so far for fiscal year 2011.

“Facey Medical Group understands the importance of having a NICU in our own community and how it will make a difference in the lives of newborns and their families for generations to come,” said Diana Vose, president of Henry Mayo’s Foundation. “Their generosity is exceptional and demonstrates their caring and commitment to the hospital and the community. They are wonderful philanthropic partners and healthcare delivery colleagues.”

Facey Medical Group and its Foundation have been consistent supporters of the Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Health Foundation since 1995.
