Families in Action: January 5, 2014
The dynamic radio duo known throughout the universe as Cary Quashen and Bob Sharits displayed what could arguably be described as the most important radio program ever. A pretty heavy description for a show twelve years old, with countless imperative episodes and educational content. However, what separated this show from all the rest, was their latest guest and topic. Cary described how every holiday season he sees his friends, family, coworkers, and clients set up new goals and resolutions for the new year, however, only a small percentage actually achieve those goals come twelve months time. Bob and Cary bounced back their ideas on why this is the norm, and how we can change our motivation and/or bad habits in generals. To do this, they brought Betty Castro, MA certified marriage and family counselor to give her perspective and insight on human habits and the earthling consciousness as a whole. Some of the main points from her message include: being able to make a resolution at any time (only pop culture normalizes new year resolutions) and similar to physical therapy and beating addiction, to tackle your goals one day at a time.
