“Concerts in the Park” are back in town

“Concerts in the Park” start this weekend and continue throughout the summer, providing listeners with an array of musical genres.  Each Saturday evening, a different band will showcase their talent at Central Park while guests have the opportunity to relax, dance, and purchase food from Bristol Farms.  All concerts are free and begin at 7 p.m. after the heat of the day has died down.

July 11 – The Skinny Little Twits

The Skinny Little Twits, whose name reflects the fun and light heartedness of this talented eclectic group, is one of California’s premier Classic Rock and Dance bands.  The “Twits” have opened for National acts like the Go Go’s, Christopher Cross and “Weird Al” Yankovic and have headlined concerts at numerous venues throughout California.

July 18 – Led Zepagain

The greatest led Zeppelin tribute band going! They’ve sold out shows at some of California’s biggest clubs & casinos, such as the House of Blues Hollywood and Anaheim, The Galaxy Theater, The Coach House and Pechanga Casino. Get ready to “Rock and Roll.”

July 25 – The Doo-Wah Riders
For 20 years the Doo-Wah Riders have been riding the Country Music range, opening for such acts as Garth Brooks, George Strait, Alabama and Faith Hill. These boys have taken their music all over the United States and Canada and now bring the Nashville sound to Santa Clarita.

August 1 – The SCV All Stars
The Santa Clarita All-Stars is comprised of Santa Clarita residents that make their living in the entertainment industry. The band will be performing a variety of material that will showcase the vast experience that our own resident musicians have acquired over their long and successful careers.

August 15 – Don’t Stop Believing

August 22 – Lisa Haley and the Zydecats
Lisa’s compelling “cornbread” voice strikes listeners square at their emotional roots. Her strong neo-zydeco tunes and hypnotic ballads ignite the spirits of Jazz, Folk, Rock, and Blues Fans. A fourth generation-fiddlist, her violin and legendary band attract fans around the world.

August 29 – Boogie Knights
The Boogie Knights are heralded as “The greatest disco revival show in the world.” The show comes complete with choreography, polyester, afro’s, bell bottoms and crazy humor. Dust off your dancin’ shoes and come join the fun…when the Boogie Knights are in town it’s time to get down.
