Fast Moving Fire Knocked Down

A fast moving fire was reported in Castaic at 2:30pm.

The fire burned 15 acres before it was put out, and the Los Angeles County Fire Department had 150 firefighters on the scene within an hour.

A Sig Alert was  posted by the California Highway Patrol after the fire forced the closure of North bound Old Road at Via Canyon, and South bound Old Road, just south of Parker Road.

It was expected that the roads would be re-opened by 6:00pm.
