When the rock was removed, they looked around and noticed the youngest boy was gone. The mother spotted the child about 40 feet away, walking with 65-year old Robert Steiner.
Steiner dropped the boy’s hand when he heard her shouting and fled the area. The boy went back to his mother, unharmed. Steiner was found shortly after the incident and taken into custody.
He is being held on suspicion of kidnapping with bail set at $250,000 bail by order of the Kings County Superior Court.
