The Santa Clarita WorkSource Center, in coordination with College of the Canyons and the Employee Training Institute, is hosting a free, all-day training program orientation on Friday, November 4, for individuals interested in the next Fast Track Institute focusing on aerospace or biomedical manufacturing.
The orientation will take place at the Dr. Dianne G. Van Hook University Center, Room # 258, located at 26455 Rockwell Canyon Road in Valencia.

The program orientation begins at 10 a.m. and continues to 5 p.m. All confirmed attendees must arrive before 10 a.m. and be available to stay for the complete orientation until 5 p.m. Registration is necessary for this free event. The Fast Track Institute provides fast-paced, intensive job preparation programs for job seekers looking for an opportunity to quickly jumpstart their career.
The Manufacturing Assembler & Technician training course for aerospace and biomedical device manufacturing is a 250 hour, 7-week course taking place November 15 – January 7, 2012. Classes will be held Tuesday through Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
The course fees are $3,640, which is inclusive of the materials fee, but this fee may be waived for eligible candidates identified as part of the program orientation.
Job seekers are encouraged to dress to impress, have multiple copies of their resume, and be prepared for on-site interviews.
Upon completing the program, candidates will be ready to accept entry-level positions in manufacturing and assembly and will participate in a private, specialized job fair featuring local and regional employers from aerospace and biomedical companies.
