Late Sunday morning, a Northridge man was killed when he lost control of his motorcycle while driving on Bouquet Canyon Road south of the Old Falls campground. The accident occurred at 10:00 a.m.
According to the California Highway Patrol, 47 year-old Martin Simon was driving his 2006 Suzuki motorcycle “at a high rate of speed” when he lost control coming out of a turn. He was ejected from the motorcycle and slid along the roadway.
A motorist driving a car the opposite direction was unable to avoid Simon, and ran over the lower half of his body.
Simon was pronounced dead at the scene.
