Ferry Out Of Intensive Care, Condition Improved

frankferrySanta Clarita City Councilman Frank Ferry is out of intensive care and is now in a private room at Providence Holy Cross Hospital.

Ferry had been in intensive care since Dec. 3 when a post-operative infection caused a life-threatening situation and his family was summoned to his bedside. He had an operation Nov. 30 to remove a growth near his pancreas.

Late Wednesday afternoon, Ortiz told KHTS that his family sent a text message saying that Ferry had “a positive night and a positive day.”

Updates on his condition have been the hot topic throughout the community for the last two weeks and there has been an outpouring of support on social networks and a blogsite set up by the family.
