Local kids aged 11-14 needed for one of Santa Clarita's signature
events.
The Cowboy Festival is coming to town April 22 through the 26 and the City is looking for some cowpokes willing to help put on the party. Opportunities for both teens and adults are available, at a variety of locations and events.
Students, aged 11 to 14,
looking to earn community service hours who are interested in volunteering, can
sign up to work at the Cowboy Festival on Saturday, April 25 or Sunday, April 26
at the Gold Rush Food Court. Those interested in applying must submit a Volunteen form to City Hall no
later than Monday, April 6. Forms are available at the City's Community
Services Office, located inside the Activities
Center at 20880
Centre Pointe Parkway.
All Volunteens must attend a mandatory Volunteen Round-Up
event on Tuesday, April 7, 2009 at 7:00 pm.

Of course, its not just about the kids; adult volunteers are being sought as well.
A variety of positions are available for volunteers to work at the Cowboy Festival at Melody Ranch Motion Picture Studio and other ancillary kick-off events taking place prior to the Festival weekend.
Those interested in applying must submit a volunteer form, available at the City’s Community Services Office, located inside the Activities Center, by Friday, March 27. Forms must be submitted via mail to “Volunteers – Cowboy Festival, City of Santa Clarita- Mezzanine, 20880 Centre Pointe Parkway, Santa Clarita Ca 91350.”
All prospective volunteers must attend a mandatory adult Volunteer Round-Up on Thursday, March 19 at 7:00 pm. in the Council Chambers at City Hall.
