Fighting Against Cancer During An Afternoon Tea

Circle of Hope’s Theatrical Afternoon Tea Fundraiser will raise funds for breast cancer patients.

[view:node_ad=5]In the spirit of the Victorians, who invented the tradition of afternoon tea, high tea has been reborn and improved.  Circle of Hope’s signature fundraiser will be Saturday, September 29 and Sunday, September 30 between noon and 3:00 pm.

This event is the essence of tea and fun! Tickets are only $50, quite a bargain for food and entertainment. Tables of 8 may be reserved; otherwise all seats are unreserved, on a first come basis.

The word “tea” invokes images of friends and consorts gathered in posh frocks and fancy hats sharing sweets, cups of tea and conversation.  Come meet Lord & Lady Smyth who will provide entertainment for you from their entourage of singers and comedians while enjoying a 3-course high tea in an English garden in Newhall.

A silent auction, roving magician from the Magic Castle (David Neubauer), hand writing analyst (Jill Trimble) and fortune-teller / angel card reader (Georgette Rampone) will all add to the festivities prior to the tea.  Set in delightfully decorated gazebos, the garden will be transformed into a bustle of activities.  Professional actors like Laird Stuart, will romance and amuse you.

Daniel McFeely’s lyrical musical stylings will keep the stage lively and your toes tapping.  Circle of Hope mixes the traditional with boisterous fun, to present you with the ultimate tea experience.

High tea would not be so delectable without its scones, savories and sweets.  Our Theatrical Tea fare is elegant, gourmet and guaranteed to tantalize your taste buds.   Handmade scones from Reva Michele and the Angel of Hope are heaven sent.  Wild Thyme will provide their famous zucchini bread to tempt you.

An Affair Extraordinaire, for the third year, will delight guests with their savory sandwiches, along with Panera Bread and Jeanne Wray who are donating tasty treats this year for the first time.

The incredible desserts are from Abbey Lane Café, Let Them Eat Cake and Dessert Alert.  Jill Jackson from Dessert Alert created “Tickled Pink”, a special surprise dessert making its début at our teas. Now that’s sweet indulgence!

Money raised will financially assist individuals with breast cancer who work, live or receive treatment in the Santa Clarita Valley.  Come to Circle of Hope’s Theatrical Afternoon Tea.

It’s a treat you and your friends will long remember!
