Latest blaze hits Castaic

A fire broke out in Castaic at around 4:00pm this evening, one mile north of Lake Hughes Road, on the west side of the I-5 freeway.

The fire burned 8 acres before it was doused by fire crews.

No structures were damaged in the fire, although the fire did mark the third such incident in Santa Clarita in the last two days.
