Fire Crews Train in the Field

As officials gear up for another busy fire season after the rains, the Los Angeles County Fire Department conducted training with drills and controlled burns Wednesday….

According to Inspector Mike McCormick, heard on Thursday mornings at 8:40 a.m. on KHTS, the Los Angeles County Fire Department continues its live fire training this week with “camp crews” that consist of 14 firefighters with different tools to fend off the flames.

Residents should not be alarmed if they see or smell smoke, as the fires are controlled.
