Fire breaks out in apartment complex/

A fire that broke out shortly before 1 p.m. and destroyed one apartment in the Mountain View Apartments on Scherzinger Lane in Canyon Country may have been caused by a resident setting off a pesticide fogger.

According to LA County Fire officials, the fire was knocked down at 1:12 p.m. No one was injured and a deputy rescued two guinea pigs from the burning apartment.
