Fire Victims In Need Of Help

Special donations needed for victims of the Sayre and Marek
fires.

[view:node_ad=5]The flames from the Sayre and Marek fires have long been
extinguished, but the victims of these fires are still struggling to pick up
the pieces.

L.A City Councilman Richard Alarcon is hosting a holiday
gift celebration and give-away for the victims of the fires.

The office of Lutheran Social Services in Santa Clarita is
trying to help this cause by taking donations from local residents.

Presents are not the only items that are needed, many
families need warm clothing like jackets, and gloves, household items like
kitchen appliances and toiletry kits as well as linens.

The Oak Ridge
mobile home park, where more than 450 homes were lost in the Sayre fire, is
home to many elderly residents who are in need of help as well.  Canes, walkers, and wheelchairs are a major
part of items needed.

The Lutheran Social Service office will be collecting items
until Friday at 3 p.m.  It is asked that
donated items be new and unused.

For more information on items needed or where to donate,
