A Red Flag warning is in effect for Ventura and Los Angeles Counties through 4 p.m. Sunday due to strong winds and low humidities.
According to the National Weather Service, the strongest winds are expected along a corridor extending from Soledad Canyon through the Santa Clarita, San Fernando, Simi and Santa Clara River Valleys.
Winds are expected to kick up Friday through Saturday morning with 60 to 70 miles gusts expected in the mountains and the Santa Clarita Valley.
Humidity levels are expected to fall to critical level by this afternoon and remain there through the weekend, making for high fire danger conditions.
