Her first tip would be to plan for more. While RSVP’s used to be the best way to figure out how many people were coming to your party, many guests now show up without informing anyone ahead of time. She suggests that parents should assume they will have at least five children show up to your party that forgot to RSVP.
“This allows a parent to plan food, goodie bags, table size and cake size around this number and not be caught off guard,” added Hickman.
Her second piece of advice for a fantastic birthday party is to book it early. Parents often stress out when trying to plan a party around school, holidays, and extracurricular activities that most kids are a part of. By booking your party a couple months in advance you are more likely to be able to book at the time and date that is going to work best for the party child and their friends. Once the party is booked it is extremely important that the parent informs other parents of the date and also reminds them as the date gets closer.
Hickman also recommends that both the parents and the guests arrive early to the party. Sky High Sports needs to check waivers for all party goers before they are able to begin to enjoy the party. Having your guests and yourself show up early allows for everyone to get checked in and start jumping for the entire party time. Parents can also fill out the waivers ahead of time, which makes the check-in process go even more smoothly.
When having a birthday party at Sky High Sports, it is important that the group utilizes their party host. All Sky High parties have a party host included, and it is their job to make the festivities run smoothly and on time in a positive manner. They accommodate the party hosts, and are able to alleviate much of the stress by organizing the timing, serving, and clean up of the event.
The final tip that was offered by Hickman was to participate in your party. Sky High Sports is a fun place for all ages to enjoy. If parents participate in the jumping, they will have fun with their children and the party will be a more memorable experience for them and the party child!
