Scattered thunderstorms bring potential for debris flows and runoff in burn areas.
The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood watch for parts of the Antelope Valley and the mountains in Los Angeles County, as well as Ventura and Santa Barbara counties.
Scattered showers and thunderstorms with the capacity to produce intense rainfall are expected, making recent burn areas exceptionally vulnerable. Any flash flooding in the burn areas could also be accompanied by mud and debris flows.
The warnings are in effect until 10 p.m. Monday evening.
