Flasher Arrested By Alert Transit Detective, Additional Victims Sought

khts_crimeA detective assigned to Santa Clarita Transit tracked down and arrested a man who was suspected of exposing himself and annoying male juveniles on the busses, putting the offender behind bars.

Wilber Saldana, 30, was taken into custody at approximately 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, and booked at the Santa Clarita Valley station. He is being held in lieu of $35,000 bail.

Saldana is suspected in two incidents of indecent exposure, one occurring on September 6 and the other on September 8, where reports of a male Hispanic exposing himself were reported by juvenile victims.

An investigation was launched and included surveillance of the Santa Clarita Transit busses that the suspect was known to take.

During an operation on Tuesday, the detective located the suspect on a bus at the McBean Transfer Center, where he was arrested without incident.

Detectives are also exploring the possibility of additional victims involving this suspect. Anyone with information regarding these incidents is asked to call Detective Burrow at the Santa Clarita Valley COBRA Unit at 661-799-5155.
