On Monday former City Council candidate David Galvan, 23, was charged with two felonies. Galvan was arrested June 10 on suspicion of impersonating a peace officer. For the original story, click here.
Count one of the complaint states that on June 5, Galvan impersonated a peace officer and unlawfully represented himself to be a peace officer.
Count two states that on June 5, Galvan committed false imprisonment by use of violence, menace, fraud and deceit. According to the spokesperson for the District Attorney’s office, Shiara Davila-Morales, Galvan didn’t enter a plea and the arraignment was postponed until Monday, June 28.
He is currently in custody at Men’s Central Jail in downtown Los Angeles, being held in lieu of $50,000 bail.
