A former Hart District instructional aide has been arrested for a second time for offering sexual services on the Internet, this time in New York.
According to ABC23 in Bakersfield, Nassau County officials arrested and arraigned 56-year-old Katharine Silvers today on charges of felony unauthorized practice of profession and a misdemeanor count of prostitution.
She was arrested by an undercover officer in a hotel in Westbury, New York. In that state, a person practicing massage has to be licensed.
As she did in Frazier Park earlier this year, Silvers posted her services online, this time in Long Island, N.Y.
In September, Kern County Sheriffs arrested Silvers and her daughter, Sarah Sunshine, for soliciting prostitution on Craigslist and Backpage.com in the Frazier Park area. For the original story, click here.
Silvers’ employment with the Hart District was terminated after her September arrest.
