The 38th President of the United States Gerald Ford dies last night. He was 93 years old.
Ford held the title as the longest living president in our nation’s history, and he is being remembered today for leading what the president called a “commonsense” administration.
Ford took office in 1974 after Nixon resigned in the face of scandal. Ford not only held the title of longest living President, but he was also the only un-elected President.
Flags at all federal buildings and other institutions have been ordered to fly at half mast.
