LA County Supervisor Mike Antonovich got to play in the park
Saturday when he hosted the 12th annual holiday party for the county’s foster
children at Magic Mountain.
Antonovich visited with more than 400 children and their
foster families while they enjoyed lunch, got their pictures taken with Santa, had
their faces painted and received gifts from firefighters. They also got to
spend the entire day at the popular amusement park.
“It was a really special day for abused and neglected kids,”
said Antonovich spokesman Tony Bell.
It was also a time to remind the community that the need for
more foster families is still critical.
"The holiday season can be difficult for these children
and this party brightened their spirits," said Antonovich. "We need
families to adopt and provide loving homes for these wonderful children."
