Four Local Schools Earn 11-man Football Playoff Berths

footballThe Saugus, West Ranch, Canyon and Valencia high school football teams have made it to the CIF Southern Section Championships.  

All teams are grouped in the Northern Division bracket. The full bracket can be viewed here.

Saugus, grabbing the sole at-large bid, will take on the Northern Division’s top-seeded team, Oaks Christian, in Westlake Village.  

West Ranch is on the road as well, and will play Palos Verdes, the second-place team from the Bay League.  

Valencia, the top team from our local Foothill League, and the fourth overall seed in the Northern Division bracket, will face Highland on the Vikings’ home turf.  

Canyon, also at home, will play Palmdale, which finished third in the Golden League.
