There is expected to be a casting call in Los Angeles for Fox’s hit series “Master Chef’s” fifth season in order to search for America’s next culinary genius.

“Master Chef” debuted as a culinary competition in 2010 on the Fox Network and has been looking nationwide for culinary virtuosos who can master and execute culinary masterpieces. From mastering French cuisine to a standard burger, “Master Chef” is looking for all kinds of talented amateur chefs who can create a variety and mixture of dishes.
Distinguished Chef Gordon Ramsay plans to return to judge “Master Chef’s” fifth season, along with Restaurateur Joe Bastianich and acclaimed Chef Graham Elliot
The winner of the ‘Master Chef” series is expected to receive a large cash prize and the title of “Master Chef.”
Individuals interested in being contestants on “Master Chef” should bring one prepared dish to serve to the judges. There is not a kitchen on-site to warm up or heat a dish and there will not be any supplies available such as dishes or utensils. It is imperative that individuals come prepared to the audition.
Individuals are encouraged to pre-register at www.masterchefcasting.com before attending the casting call.
“Master Chef is for anyone who has a passion for cooking and want to pursue a dream they never got a chance to pursue it. It’s for anyone who wants a second chance,” said Erika Michelle Landin, “Master Chef” supervising casting producer.
Applicant restrictions include all potential contestant must be 18 or older on January 1, 2014 and a citizen of the United States. All potential contestants can not be currently working as a professional chef and as a professional chef, and all potential contestants’ main source of income cannot come from preparing food in a professional environment (restaurants, hotels, catering, etcetera).
The casting call is scheduled to be held on Saturday, November 9 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday, November 10 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Le Cordon Bleu on 6370 W. Sunset Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90028.
