Participants, which can include business owners, general managers, and accountants, will be provided with information about the newly expanded Enterprise Zone, which now includes the Valencia Commerce Center, Castaic, and East Santa Clarita. Keynote speaker Tim DiTomaso of DiTomaso Incentive Group will discuss how qualified businesses can reduce and virtually eliminate their state income tax as a result of the program.
“In just five years this leading tax incentive program has saved Santa Clarita companies of all sizes millions annually,” says Mayor Laurie Ender. “And now, with the expanded Enterprise Zone program, there is no better time to learn about the benefits to qualifying businesses,” she continued.
The Santa Clarita Valley Enterprise Zone program has already saved more than 336 local businesses over $189 million through hiring tax credits and other incentives.
