To help students meet the requirement of a new State immunization law, a free shot clinic is being held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, July 27 at the Castaic Union School District Office, 28131 Livingston Avenue in Valencia.
The new California law requires all students entering grades 7-12 to show proof at upcoming school registration that they’ve received a pertussis (whooping cough) booster. The requirement can be met by having students receive one dose of the Tdap vaccine on or after their 10th birthday.
