The recent storms have caused quite a havoc on roads all over the Southland, but especially in and around Santa Clarita….
In particular, one of the problem areas is the I-5 near Templin Highway, which sustained damage because of ground water flowing through the adjacent hill which caused it to move. Crews are still trying to drain the hill by drilling holes in its side.
Completion is still not expected for another couple of months. Also, Bouquet Canyon Road, Vasquez Canyon, and San Francisquito Canyon Roads all remain closed north of the Santa Clarita city limits for several months with rain-related damage.
