At approxomiately 6:12 p.m. on Friday, a male adult driver in a Ford Escort traveling northbound on Hillsborough Parkway collided with a Toyota Sienna minivan going eastbound on Decoro Drive.

He was taken to Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital in Valencia where he died from his injuries.

According to the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station, the driver in the Escort had run the red light at the intersection of Hillsborough and Decoro.

The female driver and her son in the Sienna were taken to Providence Holy Cross Medical Center in Mission Hills where they were treated for neck and back pain.
