Frisbee Golf Fundraiser For Injured Cyclist Scheduled This Weekend

A Frisbee golf fundraiser will be held Saturday to benefit the family of Kevin Korenthal, who was badly injured in a bicycle crash near Sand Canyon Road last weekend.

The event organized by family friend Steve Petzold is called The Kevin Korenthal Open and will be held at Central Park, 27150 Bouquet Canyon Rd. at 10 a.m. The suggested buy in for the event is $20.

“Kevin lives his life with a lot of passion, he lost a leg in another accident and he doesn’t let that slow him down,” said Petzold. “It’s a miracle he’s still alive — he’s a huge advocate for bicycle safety.”

Korenthal had extensive injuries from this last accident.

“He is doing well and has a lot of therapy but will get through this,” Petzold said.
