It’s beginning to look (and feel) a lot like summer! With school out and beautiful weather sure to come, you and your family will want to take advantage of some of the fun things to do in the Santa Clarita Valley. Here are some ideas to fill up your summer:
For some fun in the sun…
Check out Six Flags Magic Mountain, Six Flags Hurricane Harbor, or Santa Clarita’s Sports Complex & Aquatic Center. Head over to Paintball USA’s Santa Clarita or Valencia locations or pull out the big guns at our shooting ranges: A Place to Shoot or the Oak Tree Gun Club.

A trip to the park…
Santa Clarita boasts over 20 parks. Whether you want to bring your pets, go skating, or have a romantic dinner, visit the City’s website to find the park nearest you.
A good learning opportunity…
There are many historical sights in Santa Clarita that are fun, and educational, for the whole family. Get a tour of Melody Ranch to see the old motion picture studio, learn about the silent film cowboy at the William S. Hart Musuem, visit the longest operating oil well in Mentryville, or experience the National Historic Landmark, Rancho Camulos.
Enjoying nature…
Go swimming, fishing, hiking, biking, or for a boat ride at Castaic Lake. Beautiful hiking and nature centers can be found at Vasquez Rocks, Ed Davis Park, and the Placerita Canyon Nature Center. Or, head over to Saugus and enjoy Don-E-Brook’s horse back riding and dinner.
Indoor entertainment…
The Valencia Westfield Mall offers air-conditioned relief and fun, while the neighboring Edwards Valencia Stadium 12 and IMAX is sure to offer some thrilling summer movies. Other cooler places to visit are the Mountasia Family Fun Center (Farrell’s Ice cream Parlor is there!), Fin’s Glow Zone Blacklight Miniature Golf, Scooter’s Jungle, and Ice Station Valencia.
For grown-ups…
Hop into the car and enjoy wine tasting at the Agua Dulce Winery or relax while golfing at the Vista Valencia Golf Course.
We hope you have a great summer!
