After nearly three months of declines, the average price of gasoline in the Santa Clarita Valley rose back above the $2 per gallon mark Thursday.
“Prices are rising dramatically. We literally have a price change every day,” said Randy Cressall, owner of the Valencia Chevron AutoSpa.
A gallon of regular unleaded gasoline sold for an average of $2.066 in the valley Thursday, which is up from $1.990 in mid-January, but down from the December price of $2.109, according to a survey conducted for The Signal by Cressall on Thursday.
