George Runner Honors SCV Small Business

Senator George Runner salutes Santa Clarita based Duncan Industries as Small Business of the Year.

(SACRAMENTO) — Senator George Runner (R-Antelope Valley) selected David Duncan with Duncan Industries based in the Santa Clarita Valley to be honored at the “Salute to Small Business” luncheon sponsored by the California Small Business Association in Sacramento.  Today is California Small Business Day.

“I wanted to recognize David Duncan because of his entrepreneurial spirit and contributions he has made to our community,” said Senator Runner.

Duncan Industries has been an innovator specializing in rapid change to spearhead new product trends and cutting-edge technologies.  An example of their recent technologies is the Kitchen Grips®.

Runner continued, “Small businesses are the backbone of our economy.  While we honor these businesses that provide jobs and help our economy flourish, we need to continue to support them and not hinder them with onerous regulations or excessive costs.”

The purpose of California Small Business Day is to recognize the contributions small business makes to California.
