The Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station, along with the Santa Clarita Valley Boys and Girls Club, SCV Newhall Optimist Club, the City of Santa Clarita and the County of Los Angeles will host the 22nd Annual Haunted Jailhouse Halloween event this Sunday October 30, 2011, between 11:00 am and 4:00 p.m. at the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station – 23740 Magic Mountain Parkway, Santa Clarita.

The event will include Sheriff’s Department displays, music, food and plenty of challenging game booths provided by non-profit organizations from throughout the Santa Clarita Valley. Game tickets will vary in cost for the game booths throughout the event.

This year the event will include a Halloween Costume contest for the children in attendance. Prizes will be awarded for each age category. Also, children over age 6 and their parents should not forget to tour the Sheriff’s Haunted Jailhouse decorated by the SCV Boys and Girls Club. A separate Halloween tour area, specifically designed for children under age 6, will also be available. A $1.00 donation is requested at the entry gate which will be donated to the SCV Boys and Girls Club.
