A girl was rescued by L.A. County Fire officials after getting stuck inside a chimney in Canyon Country on Tuesday night, authorities said.

Los Angeles County Fire Department officials responded to a report of person trapped on the 20000 block of Soledad Canyon Road just before 8:30 p.m., LACoFD officials said.
“She was playing with a ball,” said Sgt Myers of the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station, noting that the ball landed on top of a community center building before rolling into the chimney. “She went (in after it).”
LACoFD officials arrived at the scene at 8:37 p.m. and had the victim freed from the chimney just after 9 p.m.
Sheriff’s deputies were also dispatched to the scene to assist during the rescue, said Shirley Miller, public information officer for the SCV Sheriff’s Station.
The patient was released with no serious injuries, LACoFD officials said.
