Golden Valley Graffiti Vandal Nabbed By Deputies

Sought after graffiti vandal arrested.

[view:node_ad=5]Between November 2007 and August 2008, sixteen different locations, including the wall behind the new "Golden Valley Ranch" shopping center were damaged by the same suspect.  The graffiti at the new shopping center, which overlooked the Antelope Valley (14) Freeway, caused a public outcry against this visual blight in the community.  After an extensive investigation, detectives arrested, Brian Franquez, MH/19, at his home in Canyon Country on August 21, 2008.

The damage caused by Franquez cost the City $6,000 to repair.  An additional $2,500 of damage was repaired by Cal Trans for graffiti on the local freeway overpasses.   Franquez is being held in the Los Angeles County Jail system in lieu of $20,000 bail.  His next court date is September 12, 2008.
