Says Dems and Republicans seem to be getting along better now
For the last two days, KHTS has represented Santa Clarita at Capitol Clear Speak, an event exclusively for radio stations in which key policy makers schedule a series of sit down interviews.
Among the topics of discussion were the health care issue, water storage crisis, film jobs in the state, budget discussions and transportation.
Carl Goldman, Jon Dell and Fred Arnold made the trip to Sacramento to broadcast, and Jon Dell was able to grab a few minutes with Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger.
When asked about the budget, Governor Schwarzenegger said that he thinks it has a good chance of being passed on time this year.
Other state legislators were not quick to commit to a time frame, saying that there was still a lot of work to do.

The Governor also touched upon the differences now, as opposed to when he first took office; saying "there were stumbling blocks along the way, there were fights along the way…now, I think we've pretty much come to the conclusion that we need to sit down and represent the people rather than our party," he said.
