GraceFest AV Set For September At The Palmdale Amphitheater

GraceFest AV will be returning on Friday and Saturday, September 20 and 21 at the Palmdale Amphitheater.

Prayer Rally will be on Friday from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., gates will open at 4:00 p.m..  Admission is free.  

Saturday’s events will be from 11:00 a.m. through 9:00 p.m. with gates opening at 10:30 a.m..  Keynote speakers include Ken Barun and Josh Holland from My Hope America, Billy Grahm Evangelistic Association.

This year’s co-headliner performance presents Jars of Clay and Kutless.  Jars of Clay has acquired tremendous success including prestigious Grammy Awards and several of the Christian music awards, known as the GMA Dove Awards.  The group has won five Broadcast Music Incorporated (BMI) awards. In June 2009, Jars of Clay was named as one of PeaceByPeace.com’s first peace heroes.  In July 2012, the band traveled to Portland, Oregon to begin recording their new album scheduled to be released on August 27, 2013.  Kutless has been nominated for several GMA Dove Awards.  Kutless’ first two singles from their self-titled debut album were “Your Touch” and “Run”. The latter would hold the record for the longest-charting song in the history of the R&R Top 40 charts.  Kutless released their seventh album Believer on February 28, 2012 and topped the iTunes Christian albums sales chart.  It debuted at No. 36 on Billboard’s Top 200 Albums chart and debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Christian Albums chart for the week of March 17, 2012. The album’s first single, “Carry Me to the Cross”, peaked at No. 8 on Billboard’s Christian Songs chart.

Hitting the stage Saturday at 3:30pm is this year’s opening act Colton Dixon, American Idol Season 11 contestant.  He has been seen on many television shows including The Today Show and The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.

Friday night’s Prayer Rally features local pastors, periods of prayer and music.  The gathering is free and this event is a special time for enjoying the cooler evening temperatures and listening to encouraging messages in the beautiful setting at the Palmdale Amphitheater.  The evenings featured sermon speaker is Josh Holland from the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association.

My Hope America with Billy Graham is a nationwide effort to reach people across the United States with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  Under the guidance of their local pastors, Christians across America will open their homes this November to share the Gospel message with friends, family, colleagues, and neighbors using one of several new evangelistic programs featuring life-changing testimonies & powerful messages from Billy Graham.  More information can be found at MyHopeAmerica.org.

GraceFest features numerous Christian Vendors, a Prayer Tent with speakers all day, an onsite Prayer Chapel, Prayer Wall, a huge Kids Area, Raffle Prizes, Artist Meet and Greets, and numerous concessionaires. Carry in food and coolers are permitted. Bring lawn chairs, blankets, beach umbrellas and sunscreen.

Advanced ticket prices for all seating is $20 per person and $25 at the gate.  Youth tickets (ages 13 to 19) are $10.00, with a student ID (ticket price does not change day of event for teens), and ages 12 and under are FREE.  All seating is festival style on grass and there is no reserved seating and no chairs provided. GraceFest AV is a fundraiser for the Kids Charities of the Antelope Valley.  Funds raised from festival proceeds go to numerous local Christian school scholarship programs to provide further education.
