Don’t think you can afford to advertise on television? Think again. If you qualify for SCVTV’s new grant program for small business owners, you may be able to advertise on local television absolutely free.

The Outreach for Small Businesses program offers federally funded Community Development Block Grants, allocated through the City of Santa Clarita, to qualifying owners of local small businesses.

Grant recipients will receive advertising and production services valued at more than $8,000, including  the creation of a 30-second television commercial that will be shown 365 times on SCVTV.

To qualify, a business must have five or fewer employees (including owners) and the owners must meet federal low/moderate income guidelines.

The application period is open through Dec. 31, and business owners who may qualify are strongly urged to contact our grant program administrator, Tim Whyte, as soon as possible because a limited number of these grants will be awarded. Applicants will be screened by a selection panel that includes representatives of SCVTV, the City of Santa Clarita, the Small Business Development Center, the SCV Chamber of Commerce and the Newhall Redevelopment Committee.

SCVTV is excited to offer these grants to help small local businesses that otherwise would not be able to afford advertising for their products and services.
