A grass fire broke out on the north side of Soledad Canyon Road and Luther Avenue. The fire burned a hill beneath houses and strong winds carried it up the hill at an alarming rate. The fire soon engulfed roughly two acres of the hillside and fire crews responded by hitting it from the houses above and the street below.
The fire was put out at 9:30am. No houses were damaged in the blaze according to responding officials.
Southern California is still under a red flag warning and this fire demonstrated just how fast fire can move in strong winds.
