Gunfire Shatters Sunday Night Calm, No Victims Found

khts_crimeGunfire erupted in a Canyon Country apartment parking lot Sunday night, but no one was hit, no victims have come forward and the suspect is still at large.

According to Sgt. Ron Price of the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s station, at approximately 9:30 p.m., a man took issue with comments allegedly made by a resident or residents of the Sierra Apartments on Sierra Highway near Soledad Canyon Road.

“They made the comments to the wife, or fiancé or teenage daughter of this guy, and he shot at the guy,” Price said. “But everyone was gone by the time deputies got there.”

Price said that there was no description of the suspect, but that detectives are working on the case.
