The City of Santa Clarita has launched its fourth “Business Minute” video testimonial, this one featuring H3 Publications Inc.’s Publisher Dave House, whose company produces “decline,” “ROAD” and “tri” magazines, three of the world’s most-read cycling and triathlon based publications.
The piece is part of the city’s efforts to raise awareness about successful companies doing business in Santa Clarita.
“Our city is home to more than 6,000 businesses and the Santa Clarita City Council values each and every company based here,” Mayor Marsha McLean said “The ‘Business Minute’ spotlights allow the city to showcase a variety of companies — from small industry leaders like H3 Publications to recognized brands like Princess Cruises — visually to our community and to an international audience.”
H3 Publications Inc. is an International publishing company with readership in more than 70 countries. H3 opened its office in Santa Clarita in 2003, where production began on “decline” and “ROAD” magazines.

“decline” magazine is a downhill and freeride-specific mountain bike magazine focusing on gravity racing, all-mountain riding, and freestyle. “ROAD” magazine is dedicated to the beauty, culture, personalities and lifestyle of the road cycling community. “ROAD” has provided event support and extensive local editorial coverage of the Amgen Tour of California during the cycle race’s four stops in Santa Clarita.
H3 has established a reputation for producing high-end magazines featuring stunning photography and in-depth features and editorial content in an oversized print format, which is also available online. The 10-member staff launched a triathlon publication in February 2011 which has garnered positive feedback within the industry.
The city launched its “Business Minute” video campaign in 2010 with the goal of highlighting the breadth of successful companies based in Santa Clarita. The city is focused on raising awareness of companies within target industries including tourism, film, aerospace, biomedical, manufacturing, lifestyle and technology.
The goal of the visual campaign is to extend the reach of the city’s business retention and attraction efforts by highlighting why companies choose Santa Clarita as the place to do business through testimonials from local business owners, presidents and CEOs.
