The survey is open now and will close Feb. 25, 2013.

All names submitted will be reviewed by a citizen advisory committee and the top 10 names, by vote and or interest to the committee will be presented to the Hart School District Governing Board for consideration.

The board will make the final decision at a board meeting in April.

The advisory committee will be comprised of a representative from each of the four schools in the Castaic School District as designated by Castaic Superintendent Jim Gibson, or his designee; a representative each that is a current parent with a student at West Ranch and Valencia High School, selected by the principals; two to three at-large members; a Castaic Town Council representative and a Hart District representative.

Please share your name suggestions for the new high school in Castaic.
