A number of Hart
District music students will be among the top student musicians from across the
state performing in honor bands which will perform for the California Band
Directors Association (CBDA) and California Association for Music Education
(CAME) conventions this month and March.
Students are
chosen by audition and represent the top instrumentalists from junior high and
high schools across California.
The High School
All-state Honor Band will perform in Fresno this month at the CBDA Convention. Local
students chosen for the honor include Andrew Arensman (French horn) and Ronny Sunnaa (euphonium)

CBDA is a
professional organization for school band instructors throughout the state. One
of the primary functions is hosting the California All-State Honor Bands. Once
a year auditions are held and students selected from all parts of this state to
put together some of the finest high school and junior high honor bands in the
nation. Conductors are chosen by
membership from around the world.
Four Hart
District students also have been chosen for the High School Honor Band which
will perform in Ontario next month at the CAME conference. They are Adon Biggs
(euphonium), Joyce Choi (flute) and Christy Zach (tuba) from West Ranch High School; and
