In a recent informal phone survey conducted by the city, results showed that monthly membership at the Sports Complex for both residents and non-residents is half the average of the monthly memberships for L.A. Fitness, SCV Athletic Club and Spectrum Sports Club.
While many traditional gyms will negotiate their fees, the City’s Sports Complex keeps their fees consistent and non-negotiable so that fees are the same for everyone using the facility. The City’s Sports Complex Gymnasium offers an effective alternative to the traditional gym atmosphere, many of which are overcrowded during this time of year.
“The City tries to ensure that costs for recreation programs are fairly priced for the community,” said Ken Pulskamp, City Manager. “We are pleased that the current fees provide access to the Sports Complex’s excellent facilities.”
In addition to regularly scheduled interim sports, the Sports Complex has racquetball courts which are available on a first-come first-served basis; however reservations are available up to two weeks in advance.
The Sports Complex racquetball fees are $6.00 per hour (non prime time) and $8.00 per hour (prime time) for non-members. Usage of the racquetball courts also includes unlimited use of the basketball courts, lockers and showers for the day for both members and non-members.
The Sports Complex is located at 20870 Centre Pointe Parkway and is open for racquetball play Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 10:00pm, and Saturday and Sunday from 8:00am to 8:00pm. For reservations call 661-250-3758.
